The Pros
- Gentle motion reduces leg strain and rigidity when using standing desks.
- The challenge of keeping yourself balanced can give you a little stimulus/dopamine boost.
- If done routinely, there is evidence to show that balance exercises can strengthen your amygdala, which in turn helps with mood regulation.
The Cons
- As with most things designed for a niche market, it’s not cheap. That being said, none of the other ones I’ve researched came close to the build quality and comfort.
- Unless you pay extra for the storage rack, it’s hard to find a home for it, meaning it can easily be a tripping hazard.
Essa's Tips
- Place it somewhere it's clearly visible as if you can't see it, you'll 100% forget it exists.
- What I do is use it at as a footrest when sitting down, but pull it out when I’ve switched to standing mode.
