The Pros
- Feels like writing on paper, but with undo/erase options and none of the clutter.
- Handwritten notes are often a pain to type up or digitise. This does it with a tap.
- Templates for everything from notes, music notation, to-do lists, etc.
- Single-purpose device that helps you focus on writing. On other devices it’s justtoo easy to switch to Reddit, Dribbble, Hacker News, etc!
The Cons
- The tablet is 299 USD, but that’s cause the marker (which is critical) and folio are sold separately. Include those and it can be double that.
- Erasing stuff is a pain unless you get the Marker Plus (which I 100% recommend)
Essa's Tips
- Remember to use folders and descriptive file names (vs ones that look like a cat walked across a keyboard 🐱) so you can find files when needed.
- If you prefer keyboards over a stylus but like keys with a bit more oomph, you might prefer the Freewrite.
